Honored to receive this invitation from the Catholic university of America where I was first introduced to digital fabrication while pursuing an architecture and urban planning degree. Since my exposure to the subject was a very enlightening , couldn't forget about it once I left the university and start working in the building industry where innovative design is still a remote ambition. Fortunatley in 2015 the maker movement that was spreading across U.S. arrived in the east coast and brought with it amazing maker spaces loaded with digital fabrication tools which enabled me to establish Marta Ali Studios an innovative design and fabrication company envisioned to make a difference in the building industry.
