A phenomenal gathering at the "Connecting Communities Together event at the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington D.C.. On July 23rd , a special event brought together a diverse group of the diaspora community to celebrate "AFRICAN HERITAGE, PAN AFRICAN LEADERS DAY" and "H.I.M. HAILE SELASSIE'S 127th BIRTHDAY"
There were many remarkable moments and inspiring speeches by Ethiopian Ambassador to the U.S. H.E. Ambassador Fitsum Arega, H.E. Prince Ermias Sahle Selassie , A.U. Ambassador to the U.S. H.E. Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao and several distinguished community leaders.

A very special thank you to the event's organizers NFSP , Caldan Communications and the Ethiopian Embassy in D.C. for hosting the extraordinary event. It was an honor to take part and to create the first "Prestigious Ethiopian Ambassador Award" which was awarded to recognize prominent professionals for their outstanding contribution towards connecting communities together. As H.E Ambassador Fitsum said, "We all become Ambassadors for our country when we do the right things that has the capacity to make us all proud."

May we all find more common grounds to connect more and continue to work together ...
